Airliners.net ...Sad news!
"January 28, 2009
It is with the deepest sorrow that we let you know Paulo Emanuele, General Manager of Airliners.net died this evening in a tragic plane crash. His plane took off out of Santa Monica Airport around 5:00 PM and lost power. Paulo attempted to return to the airport, but did not make it. Paulo loved Airliners and everything it stands for.
He will be remembered for his passion, his kindness, and his love for life.
Paulo was an amazing pilot, an amazing photographer, an amazing friend, and an amazing father. He will be deeply missed.
Thank you Paulo for the time we had with you...We know you will be smiling down on us."
RIP... Paulo!

Just caught this post and wow how incredibly sad this is. This guy seemed like a great guy with a wonderful family and life.
Kind of puts it in perspective when you see things like this. Friends and family are worth their weight in gold and the rest well,厖.
God bless,
Joe

It is with deep respect for his passion and sincere condolences to his family that we pay tribute to his life and honor him in death.
In a blink all time stops
the Lord gives a heavenly nod
Our friend Paulo slipped the searly bonds of earth
and touched the face of god
May our friend find eternal rest
Condolences from Canada
Tim
