Dehavilland Beaver Home Cockpit to Scale
Hey guys: I have searched a few cockpit building forums and sites and I maybe one of the few or the only one to do a DHC 2 beaver build or any of the DHC 2,3 or 6 family. Aug.08 I started my DIY cockpit, from hundreds of photos and measurements from a real beaver cockpit. Measuring 48" wide and 4'8" high 3/4 veneer plywood and 1/8 veneer mahogany. Equipped with the Pro Flight yoke, throttle quadraint, pedals and switch control panel installed in the cockpit. Complimented with a Acer 22" and a Dell 19" monitors. Here are some pics
The pedestal holds the keypad and mouse.
Dual monitors
Left and right seat view. Building birdcage, side panels and ceiling in progress. Hoping to hear from someone here who may have tackled this project. Take care for now.

Looks a great project, not something i have ever seen anyone else embark on. Though there may be someone lurking that is building a similar aircraft to you.
Thanks for the pictures thats just what we want to see on a first post if you have something to show us. Keep up with the great work and make sure we're updated. That's all from me.
Take care

Thanks Matt and 737 Gez for compliments. Have been searching your forums nothing yet to a similiar build, but what I have found is alot of info into controls. Have been building and testing the mechanics of a throw over pedestal yoke the same to which is in the DHC family. I picked up a maintenance manual for a 1959 dehavilland beaver which shows you the mechanical workings and be able to build to interface to the computer. For now. Thanks again guys.

Very nice. I love the beaver. It's the plane I fly the most after the 767.

Re: Dehavilland Beaver Home Cockpit to Scale
Awesome. I am planning to build such a cockpit myself. Are there any contructions plan you can support me with either DHC2 or Twin Otter?
Especially for the wood construction.
Would be great, I will keep you updated of the progress.
