    Cessna Measurements?

    Hi,

Can anyone tell me the difference in MIP width between the Cessna 152 and 172

I take it the height must be shorter as the 152 only has 2 rows of gauges.

    Cheers.

    Re: Cessna Measurements?

    Hi Alex

here you find everything you wanted to know about the 152 and 172 just look at the site
    greetz

    http://www.redskyventures.org/doc/ce..._7-scanned.pdf

Note I found out that even 172 panels can be different,
My panel (which is 1 to 1 scale of a Cessna 172 year 2000) that I wanted to build into my cockpitsection is about 2 inches to high,
I need to make a new aluminium build to fit panel.

    Re: Cessna Measurements?

Nice to see you back again Alex. You can also go by the parts manuals as the will show the actual panel.

You don't get the dimensional info straight out. You have extrapolate based on gauge diameter. That's what I did. You also need to check that against photographs as the drawings are of the 'Factory' Cessna and may not have everything you want to include in yours.

Once again nice to see you back.

    Re: Cessna Measurements?

Hi Guys, yeah I am back......I have had to study like crazy to get all my study assignments done ready for xmas, so had to take some time out!

Thanks Henk for the advice and thanks to Ron too....

I am building a Cessna 152 simpit on the side of my Cessna 172, but the Cessna 152 is for my dad who strictly wants only VFR (coz its so easy to fly, rev up and go), The Cessna MIP is going to be very easy to build as there is nothing to it, and wondered if I could use the width of my pit for the 152, I have a load of parts that I could use in the 152 and I actually reckon that I could build a complete 152 sim pit in a week, by just using 1 screen, an MIP and a I will build a simple radio using my special 'Alex Jay Radio Sticker' Technology (lol), all my dad will need to buy is a yoke and pedals, I will build a TQ using my old throttle knobs and pots and I have a leo bodnar card he can have which I am not really using at the moment......

Any advice, tips on this old banger is much appreciated.....feels like I am building a go-kart lol!

    Greetz! lol

    Re: Cessna Measurements?

    Hi...

Really struggling for measurements for the 150/152, didn't realise it was going to be harder to get measurements than it would be for the Cessna 172. I guess not many people fly the 152 these days.

I really don't want to just assume measurements as I need to do this properly.

So if any of you know the measurements of:

CAPTAIN SIDE PANEL OVER LAY (Width plus height)
RIGHT HAND SIDE PANEL OVERLAY (Width plus height)

(I know radio stack width is 160mm)

And will need the width plus height of the lower panel (switches/tq/flaps etc)

Please drop me a line if you can help.

    Kind Regards.

    Alex

    Re: Cessna Measurements?

    Hi.

Thanks for the website, I do indeed know this website already, but looking for measurements of the 152 and not the 172, I have a 172 sim already and I know the measurements for this are slightly different.

I am looking for these measurements:

(the same as the Malmi Aviation Club sim).
