If you are having a download issue please reply

Include:

• Requested download File
• Browser
• Ip address

It seems I've been posting in two threads, so I'm glad you made this specfic thread.

Okay, the issue of not getting Achilles FSX 2.10 or 2.11 Sounds is still a problem for me. Here is my specs.

Requested: FSX Sounds Version 2.11
System Unit OS: WINXP Pro Sp2
Browser: IE 7.0.5730.11
IP Address:69.179.85.189
Download Manager?: No
Connection Type: DSL 1.5Mb

Finally, I just finished another attempt to get 2.11 and here is how it went. [Edit] I just finished another from my Mac and same issue (65Mb on that attempt)

1. Go to Download Library
2. Select FSX Sound Files
3. Select Version 2.11 (or 2.10)
4. Select Big Download button
5. Select Save As (I did try both zip file and all files type save as)
6. Select folder on my machine for file to be saved to
7. Select OK
8. Watch Download Window Progression
9. As it gets closer towards the end (approx 60Mbs) the download window just jumps to the end even though it had about 1:45 to go.
10. Check file in folder and see its corrupted
11. Copied Download Window

Hi all,

same Problem here with both 2.00 and 2.10 versions of Achilles file.

Vista Ultimate 32 Bit
IE 7.0.6001.180000
DSL
normal download (no manager etc.)

File size after download is always about 30 - 35 mb.

Dee,

Any updates on why some of us are having the issue(s) with the Download Library (DL)? I tried twice again today and still the same...

Is there any possibility of setting up a direct FTP location (temporarily) for the few of us who are trying to get Achilles files? If not, Achilles please PM me and maybe you and I can work out something until the DL situation is resolved.

All of this is strange though, I've had no problems with the DL before, so I'm not sure what to look for on my end; especially, since nothing has changed with my system unit OS.

Dee,

Thank you for setting up this FTP of Achilles files. I just completed the transfer in less then 10 minutes and it checks out perfectly. Now, I can update my sound files...whoo hoo!

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

After 2 previous download failures I tried it again and it was successful. So I don't know if it was my connection or your end.
