Starting from the ground up
I joined many years ago, really convinced that I could do this by hand. My build still looks the same as it does in my profile picture (which is two years old), just extremely warped and falling apart (throttle assembly was completely destroyed while moving the pedestal). Now I have access to a whole bunch of CNC, water cutting, and laser engraving equipment, and I want to take advantage of that to start over with a high quality new build. (I'm still thinking HS748, especially with Fraser's new hyper-realistic panel and FDE package. I would do a 707 or an Electra if I had more space, but definitely something without backlit panels).
The problem is I do not have a lot of knowledge of designing panels to be milled. I want to go for something durable but as thin as possible so the monitors with the gauges are right up against it. Where's a good place to start learning about this kind of thing?
