How to wire up Grayhill 5key position switch
I just got the 5 key position switch from Desktop aviation. And im having trouble wire it up.
This is the datasheet. (45 degree)
http://www.grayhill.com/assets/1/7/Rotary_58.pdf
I first tried to wire up 1-5 with wires to my Leo usb board 836X, it registerd the positions but it didnt work in the sim when moving back and forth. ( i has a total of 8 pins plus the ground or common)
I then tried to wire up 1,3,5,7 like i saw in the datasheet when running 1 pole. It didnt work either. It doesnt register all unique positions. In the sim it register btn0-4.
Any ideas? I just want the switch to work flawless and 100% =)

Re: How to wire up Grayhill 5key position switch
Thx, but its of no help for me.
I just need to know how to wire the 8 pins to my Leobodnard 836x board. The rest i have figured out with the sim.
Im trying diff positions now, but i have not yet got it 100% working.

Re: How to wire up Grayhill 5key position switch
The problem may be with FSX. The magneto switch is a low priority input and there is a noticeable lag. Use your keyboard to check "off left right both and start" commands options --> commands --> keyboard. All other inputs (FSUIPC, SimConnects, Link2fs (Inputs) duplicate the mouse "+" or "-" input.
Nice switch. Beats my barrel key jammed onto the 1/4" shaft of a 12 position rotary switch.
