2 monitors
Ok guys I am about to go out and build the other table to hold my second 42" monitor so here is the question.. Should I put the side by side in a straight line or should I angle them, wide end twords the sim front windows? 45deg or less?

Bob,
I'm running a projector now with my PM 737NG cockpit... but am considering going with (2) 36 or 42' LCD monitors (one for each front view).
Can you give me any advise as to LCD types, source, and if you are using the Matrox dual or triple head... or just the dual video output on your graphics card.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Marty, I guess depending how much you want to spend I was at Best Buy the other day with a new LCD 40 or 42" (can't remember). It blew me away... 15,000:1 contrast. I don't know the other particulars, but I was quite impressed $2,200.
Please keep in mind when looking at a LCD, two things, the contrast (such as above) and the refresh rate (should be around 5 ms or less).

Sorry I missed this before. There is one other thing to remember using 2 monitors.. The monitor case in the middle of the screen. I get a little earated over this as it is the only thing to spoiling a very nice view. It is not a problem until final approach either! If you can make this compromise (there is that word again) you will be happy. Matt is right look at the contrast ratio!! Very important, the higher the number the better. Other then the runway thing my graphics are very nice!

Of course 3 screens will fix your centreline issue

Or the digital version of the Matrox TripleHead2Go that has the "cancel out the monitor frame" mode.
