Great indeed to be part of.

Just reired from the line left seat on the amazing A330 big fellow, after 26.000 flying hours sharing the A320 family as well. Of course also a Boeing lover as many of us.
I'm here to learn and cooperate when able.
    A big hug to everyone.

    Hello Capt. Mac,
Nice to have you aboard. Always great to have experience as part of the clan. As many of us budding pilots usually
have many questions in our quest for perfection. What sort of Sim are you aspiring to build?.
    Regards
    Les

    Thanks Les.
Well you see, the sim is already there. It is basically an A320 full cockpit structure using FSCockpit modules which by the way runs very nice and stable with the freeware version of JH software. I am seriously considering a commercial licence for it in order to be aligned with all the posibilities this great software has to offer and of course the excelent job done by Jean Luc.

That is a real cockpit! Look at the lighting shade and how it falls into the cockpit; you don't get that with projectors in a dark room!

welcome to the forum Capt. Mac, it's always a pleasure to have fellow 'professionals' amongst us.
Is your home cockpit finished, do you have more plans for it?

    Hi Les.
The head picture is me in a real A330 Cockpit while flying from Mimai to Lima, so your initial perception was quite right. Pictures of the A320 sim will be posted later.

    Thank you much Geremy,
This unit was built around real dimensions of the aircraft panels described in the engineering maintenance manual and transported to an Auto Cad file in order to facilitate the building job. It was almost a handcrafted labor just like a prototype, worked out part by part. The electronic modules all came with precise instructions on the way to interface them with all the associated software.
    Best regards,
    CM

Re: Great indeed to be part of.

Thanks CM for putting right. Had the pleasure a week or so ago to fly a Commercially built A320 that was about to
be shipped out from Pacific Simulations. What a pleasure it was to see and feel what real pedals and sidestick are like.
This simulator used real parts for the flight controls. Will be great to see your build.
    Regards
    Les
