Low Fuel
On my annunciator panel, I have a LOW FUEL light. Unfortunately I only have 1 light. Is tehre an offset that measures total fuel on board in %. Like what is displayed when you hit SHIFT-Z. I know that offset 1264 is Total fuel quantity, but it is in gallons. that would be very different settings from a Piper Cub to a 747. If I can use %, then I can use the same parameters for all aircraft.
thanx in advance..I'm not replicating anything, because I like to fly everything.

Re: Low Fuel
Might be bringing up a dead issue, but am cruising the threads trying to figure out how to use fs2phidget...
Thought I would offer what I found in hopes it would earn me some good karma and help with my stupid newbie questions.
FSInterrogate shows a couple of offsets that might help if you are using FSX:
1240 Fuel total capacity [FSX] and 1264 Fuel total quantity [FSX].
The units this reads appear to both be gallons, so if there is a way you can divide quantity by capacity you get the %. It will get you close enough to drive an indicator though maybe.
Don't know if it will work, or how to do the math in fs2p5, but common sense tells me it might be a good route.
Good Luck,

Re: Low Fuel
This is deja vu. I know that various folks have asked this question over the years.
Ended up putting in the 4.x documentation, but who reads that stuff?
In 4.x documentation is:
Excersise 6: Create an FS Variable for the center fuel tank quantity percentage.

Re: Low Fuel
Here is cut 'n paste from documentation.
Offset: 0B74
Size: 4
Use: Fuel: centre tank level, % * 128 * 65536
The raw value from FS needs to be divided by 128 multiplied by 65536 = 8388608.
Set the divisor to 8388608. To display the percentage as a whole number, set the multiplier to 100.
Setting multiplier to 1 and divisor to 83886 is equivalent.

Re: Low Fuel
Alan,
Thanks for the heads up! I am excited to hear there is documentation that I don't have that I can read for another issue. The 5.0.21 users manual does not have any exercises in it. Where could I get all of the exercises so I wont be a pest here? Is it in the help file in the version 4.x package?
Thanks in advance, and for all of your efforts to make fs2p!
