Buying A New Computer (help!)
Hello again!
Those of you that know their way around a PC know what's best for what purpose - but as a learner builder, I am still confused! I have been trying to find a way of using a hi end AGP dual head card to run two Matrox 3 to go units giving me 6 outside views. From what I can gather, this is impossible due to resolution issues (unless anybody knows how to do it). As a result, I am considering buying a "bare bones" deal from a UK supplier offering me PCIe slots. I would hope to use two PCIe cards with one 3 to go unit on each - but before spending any cash, does anyone know if this will work (two PCIe cards, 6 view monitors?). If so, what PCIe cards would do the job? Would they have to be hi end?
The "bare bones" deal is as follows -
Intel Core 2duo.
2X1gb ram DDR
Intel 945 ATX Motherboard.
1 PCIe x16
2 PCIe
2 PCI
ATX Tower Case.
£329.00.
The rest, I have to build in myself.
Here's hoping....
I am running FS 2004 (NOT FSX)
