I have a reverser problem, possibly FSUIPC related...
...and maybe not.
After copying and pasting my old working .ini file from FSUIPC and setting up the FS assignment page as on the old computer I'm having throttle drop outs and random reverser deployment on all three engines.
It's as though the program retards the throttle to the stops and then the reversers start. Sometimes only the sound of the reversers come on for a second with no noticable change in EPR or N1, and other times the throttle will retard to ground idle for several seconds and then increase to the previous power setting. Sometimes the throttle will retard to flight idle with no reverser deployment and then just as suddenly increase to the physical setting of the throttle.
Sometimes I have to bump the associated throttle to get it to spring back up to the previous power setting.
The reversers are not deploying when the throttles are physically pulled back to the ground idle stops. I have FSUIPC set up not to do this. I have F2 programmed on a switch on the reverser levers to do this.
I've checked for assignment conflicts between the yoke and the throttle and the keyboard and there are none. I have the spike box checked for the throttles in both FSUIPC and the Beta Innovations analog input card configuration manager.
I've calibrated both in FSUIPC and in Windows but the problem remains with these random throttle drop outs and reverser deployment.
I went so far as to open the .ini file and change all of the numbers associated with reverser functions to '0' except for one that had the number 256 with it.
If it helps, here is the .ini file and I also have an axis log of about twenty minutes but I can't read it.

If the log file is needed to figure this out , please let me know. I'm going to continue to investigate this problem and see if I find something I may have missed.
What I don't understand is that all the settings and such are identical to the old system. The only variable is the new machine.

You have more than one entry for both reverser and throttles. Backup your fsuipc ini and remove the double entries and see what happends.

If you are having reverse thrusters engaged in flight on the FSUIPC ini (shown below) you simply make the first number of the four in each throttle more negative althought the throttle and fsuipc cannot reach this number it still works and makes the reverse thrusters not engage when the throttle is returned to idle.
Eg. instead of THROTTLEX=-16380,-3570,-3570,3570/8
Just make it more negative: THROTTLEX=-19380,-3570,-3570,3570/8
Source: I had the same problem when i got my throttle!
Should Work (did for me) give it a go

Took a closer look and found that the last entry is aircraftspecific. So I guess it's not an issue with multiple entries.

The problem is that the reversers are engaging randomly at above ground-idle thrust, not at the throttle stops.
Sometimes at 70% N1, sometimes at 65% N1, and sometimes at 50% N1.
Doesn't happen all of the time, but it makes for some interesting approaches where the throttle is usually set within these ranges for the descent on the GS.Boeing Skunk Works

I found that throttle axis had been assigned in FS and there was the conflict.
after deleting the throttle assignments from FS, they are responding normally except for one reverser engagement pulling up to the stand in Innsbruck while closing the throttles. It was #3, but it didn't do it again.
The numerical values between idle and reverser start are too great for this to be happening, so I need to look around further.Boeing Skunk Works

Strange, I would have thought that the reverser's would not deploy in the air. Thus causing crash into the ground. Very interesting indeed. Usually the squat switch needs to be compressed for the reverser's to deploy.
Good luck with that. LOL________________________

Strange isn't it.
Well, the first part of the problem is fixed. I just have to find out why I had that one deployment from #3 on the ground after the last test flight.
After deleting the assignments in FS, the throttles worked smoother and normally with no sudden loss of RPM. Just like they did on the old system.Boeing Skunk Works
