Things are never as they seem! I just tried to buy something from Mouser UK result - same price as US with VAT and Inport tax added, but a disgraceful delivery charge of £12 for small and light items that could easily be sent via first class post for less than £2. What is worse is that they trumpet a delivery of 1-3 days for £12!!
Thanks anyway Geremy B - if time is of the essence then it may be worth it

Mouser in the UK
good day captain's.....
well i have been buying components from mouser for some time and actually i'm pleased to see them get here because they do have an amazing range of products. some you just can't find in europe not even from the biggies like conrad or farnell or even RS.
and they are very competative on things like 'long toggle' switches for your overhead.
re: david's point about £12 delivery. not so bad when you consider they used to charge $35 - $40 for a Fedex or UPS delivery from the US. then Fedex or UPS would charge you for the Customs Duty and VAT and then levy an administration charge for the privilage of doing so. i guess they will have some stock here (the one day delivery), but probably they will be getting Fedex or UPS to deliver today's ordered stock they don't have overnight for despatch from the UK office tomorrow (the 3 day delivery). it's the way we used to do it.
for me, a welcome move, let's see how it pans out and even if you just use the catalogue to get ideas, it' still a step forward.
welcome mouser..... regards from wales ... ianMr. Ian. P. Sissons is hereby recognised as an Honorary Flight Sim Captain following his passing in February 2016. This is in recognition for his commitment to Flight Simulation.

You are correct. I raised this issue direct with Mouser and they advise that the UK office is sales only - all items are shipped from Texas. I interpreted the original post as Mouser had a depot in the UK!
