PMSystems & Vista
I've just bought and installed Vista Home Premium. When I run PMSystems (after it has installed successfully) I get a window appearing saying it cannot locate the file "MSVBVM50.DLL".
I'm sure someone else has had this problem. Can anyone help me please?
Kind Regards,
Brad Heller.

Gday Brad. Thats the Visual Basic 5.0 runtime file. It probably doesnt ship with Vista because thats all a big .NET sheila frenzy.

VB5 is really only supported up until Windows 2000.
Some apps did continue to run under XP. But is mainly luck.
The VB5 run time can be downloaded from Microsoft, but read the Supported Operating Systems section - only supported up to Win 2000.
You could gamble and download and install - may get lucky.
Will make you a certified Vista Test Pilot.

May want to raise issue with support@projectmagenta.com
Let them (and us) know whether your Vista system is an Upgrade to earlier Windows version or a fresh Install.
In addition, Folks are reporting problems with other apps that use DirectX8 or DirectX9 not working with Vista.
Other option is to hold out for Vista Service Pack 1.

G'day, Nic
Didn't think there were any people down there in Tasmania !
What do you think Wallabies chances will be against All Blacks ?

Hi Alan. Yes there are still a half million or so of us left down here
Can't comment on the rugby much ... I don't really follow it. I've watched a few wallaby/springbok and wallaby/all-black games though .. always close and intense. And my wife is a South African too!
