Bufferpools Tweak Update?
Referring back to 6/6/10 - Jack's post: "Guide to the BufferPools Tweak" seems to have lost interest among the forums, perhaps being incompatible with new hardware and software. Can we update Jack's tweak recipe so we know the whole story?
The utility nHancer is no good with nVidia drivers above version 256. I believe that makes it useless with the brand new nVidia cards. But is nHancer absolutely ESSENTIAL for the "Zero Bufferpools" tweak? If it is, the tweak is now headed for the cold, cold ground.
Similarly, the software UIAUTOMATIONCORE.DLL is recommended only for Windows 7 (64). Will the DLL fail under an XP environment? Is, therefore, a Windows 7 (64) operating system absolutely necessary for the "Zero Bufferpools" tweak?
Thanks!

Re: Bufferpools Tweak Update?
These days we use nvidiainspector
Negative. For the Zero Bufferpool tweak, the only restriction is that you have a video card with at least 1,25 Gb RAM on board.

Re: Bufferpools Tweak Update?
Thanks, Nico, I'm going ahead with the recommended FSX.CFG changes, under XP, without the two "helpers." My graphics card has 2 gigs so we'll keep our fingers crossed!
