DIY Jet almost flying

Looks nice!! My only question is, if it was at 80 to 100% of the power on the jet, how could he be holding it back with only his leg? That, to me, would not seem enough power to keep it aloft. SCARY!!!

Perhaps they have some kind of afterburner like the big jet engines that will add another 50 lbs of thrust
