Differences in download speed
When I connect a PC with Windows 2000 or XP to my 1Mbit ADSL line I get a
download rate of approximately 750 Kilobits per second.
However, when I connect a Windows 98SE machine to the very same line I get
a
performance of 330 Kilobits per second, at max.
Is there a limitation to Windows 98 regarding connection speeds? Why is my
download transfer speed cut in half when using Windows 98 as opposed to
Windows 2000?
