    Questions for Aircraft Controls Engineering

    Hi Guys,

Just opened Ace's Forum. If you have any questions for the 737-Yoke Team, post them here.

Please keep in mind they are very busy though, and may not respond right away.

    Hi,

I hadn't to wait long for an answer.
The only sad thing was the answer itself.

The question was: "Is this product also available as a DUAL LINKED version?"

Answer: "Unfortunately, no. The reason is that there isn't that much of request for dual linked components."

Doooh, Every website of builders I encounter, are almost completely dual seaters.

Did I program somewhere a bad waypoint that I've lost my position in the air?

So, to conclude, I'm still looking and looking....

    Hi Geert,

I understand your request and frustration. You may also notice a lot of the same websites have "home made" solution for yokes. Not because they can't find yokes in the market but mainly to keep costs down.

You are right in your own way. I speak from our web response. To date we only have 4 queries for dual link.

I didn't say we won't make Dual link. We will - at some later stage. The demand at this point does not satisfy engineering costs.

    Regards,
    Ali - 737 Yoke Team

    Dual Link Yokes

    hi guys......
let me run this by you...
ali, why don't you offer customers the option to buy just the control column and the yoke assembly (without the base and all the mechanics in there). they can then take care of
the dual linking when they build the floor.
that way, they get a realistic looking pair of yokes and a more cost effective solution.
just an idea...... have a great day chaps ... ian

Or engineer the thing so that you can build it either stand-alone or Dual-link with additional hardware.

    Indeed!! Great idea from Ian.

Would be nice indeed for those, like me, who haven't the possibilities of manufacturing look-alike components.

The "kit" idea from Trevor I also find a good point. Then you are able to buy the single or dual kit version. Makes the building of the pit even more fun, instead of mounting/installing pre-assembled components.
Would be nice, if there is a HW problem, you can easily check and resolve the problem.
