Hi folks, just a little note to introduce myself.
I am currently in the middle of building from scratch my 737 Flight Sim. Many thanks to Ian from 737ng.co.uk for getting me into his pit last month. A really nice piece of work!!.
I've tried to keep my costs down as much as possible and I'm finding this forum an absolute must for anyone doing this. Please feel free to email me at harryradford@tiscali.co.uk with any questions about things I have learned along the way.

Hi Harry, welcome to MyCockpit.
I see your in Newton-le-Willows, is that the one in North Yorkshire? I'm in Newcastle and also building a 737NG. That's a canny setup you've got there if you've just started.
I was at Ian's a couple of weeks ago, he's got an excellent pit hasn't he?
Merry Xmas.

Hi Harry great to have someone with us. Once again you're not to far away from me. Look forward to seeing the progression of your sim, and i'd be happy to help wherever possible.
Noticed you've already got some hints and tips from Ian
Have a good christmas

Hi Sean,
Its the one in Merseyside, by the M6/M62. Ian has an excellent pit and something that I will always aspire to. Just trying to get my head around making annunciators cheaply because I need so many of them . If anyone has any bright ideas other than paying the commercial rates it would be brilliant.
I've just purchased the Master Fire and Caution from Conrad Electronics, if anyone wants the part numbers drop me a line because it took ages to find them on their web site
Thanks Sean, hope to be working up in Durham next Year, I'll send you a message and meet up when I around there.

Re: New member
Thanks Geremy,
My first foray into MSFS was on a Commadore 64 back in 1982, done plenty of flying over the years and built a motion sim in 1988 when the monitors were proper TV's. My son was the guinea pig . Binned that off as we can't seem to source the Schedule 40 PVC pipe over here properly.
Got a small (Captain /Centre) Outfit going now with the help of Ian and others who have posted so much info on the web. My overhead is coming along as I can't afford the full panel right now with a daughters wedding coming up.
Next purchase will be the MCP and EFIS (Hopefully Santa will be nice to me).
Keep in touch my friend

Hi Harry, welcome to MC.org! I'm wondering with a name like that if you are a Pink Floyd fan, I certainly am! (Harry the Hat was a roadie whose recorded words can be heard on Dark Side Of The Moon - "I am not frightened of dying etc.)
Check out my pics in the gallery here - http://www.mycockpit.org/photopost/useralbums.php there are plenty of ideas on how to make cheap annunciators etc. I built my entire O/H for AUD$300 including switches. There are two albums of my B737 sim progress, and a never ending process it is, get used to that!

Hey there Gwyn,
Thanks for the reply, I was not aware of the HarryTheHat in Pink Floyd, I will do some searching around, its just a nickname I picked up years ago.. Anyway, I've had a good look through your pictures and I think thats definiatly the way for me to go. Can I just say what a fab pit you have there.
