    New 747 Project

    Hi all
after spending 3h in full-flight-sim I`m ready to go for my own home-pid.
I will try to convert my units first into a frontpanel/glareshield. In second step pedestal. If I`m still convinced, a copilot-section and overhead-section will be added.

Good luck, I have seen a lot of people building 747 simulators around the web, so you wont be short of any information. Have said that you will also find everything you are looking for here.

    again good luck

    Conversion

    update

After a long and thorough planing phase I made the decision to convert my intentions for a 737NG home cockpit console. I came to the conclusion, that my goal is more having and using a home-cockpit console than to build one. In fact my knowledge in handcrafting and electronics are limited, as well my time.
Furthermore one another reason for my decision was, there are more parts and knowledge for 737NG available and and locally I have more support for such a project than for a 747. For a 747 much more developmental work would have to be done, and I am afraid off to end in nowhere's land.
