Trying to import sounds from fs2004 to fsx

I am trying to import an fs2004 aircraft into fsx. It works quite well, but not all the sounds are working. All of the engine sounds work properly, but warning sounds, crew callouts etc. no longer work. Warnings are now from a modern FSX aircraft, (don't sink, etc.). I'm not sure why the plane is accessessing these sounds. The aircraft is a freeware TU-134. I think I am misunderstanding how sounds are set up and accessed. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

Re: Trying to import sounds from fs2004 to fsx

    Hello Orwell,

As you just found out the engine/aircraft sounds are stored within the sound folder specific to that aircraft. However the other sounds, GWPS, callouts, etc are stored elsewhere. I havnt used FS9 in ages, but in FSX they are located under the flight simulator X\sounds folder. I am unsure where or how the aircraft look at these sounds as they are not listed in the aircraft.cfg or sound.cfg.

Well this doesnt fix your issue, but maybe will help you understand sounds a bit better.

    Thanks
