Re: The best windows for fs
Personally.
Windows XP 32Bit SP2 is best for 2004 as it is a fool proof system and works extrememely well especially the 32 bit system which is designed for single core pc's.
Windows 64bit is OK but is pointless for FS2004 as 64bit supports dual cores which fs2004 doesnt take advantage of.
Windows Vista is OK, but there has been a few known issues, and I wouldnt bother with Windows 7 for now until all its bugs and errors have been resolved. Not too sure if fs2004 would run on windows 7.
I would keep to Windows XP SP2 for FS2004 / or a XP 64 bit for dual core cpu's.

Re: The best windows for fs
I have used Windows XP 32bit & 64bit, Vista 64 Bit and Windows 7 64 Bit all on the same PC and the one that gave me the best performance was Windows 7 Followed closely by Windows XP 64 then XP 32. Vista gave me the worst performance.
