    One Final Question

    Hello everybody. I have one final Airbus question.

    When I looked at Airbus cockpits, it appears there are two types of transponders available. I assume it is the choice of the airline which one of the two is used, but which one of these two styles do you use?

    Well, I suppose I have one more question. As you can see in these two airbus cockpit pictures, it appears that one has a lot of steam gauges, and the other does not.

    Both cockpits have the same number of "steam" gauges. These are known as Stand By gauges.One cockpit is lit up for night and the other one is not.

    The older one is using the old style standby gauges, 4 in total, an altimeter, a speedmeter, an artificial horizon and the DDRMI, the newer ones are using a single one for altitude, speed and attitude combined on one LCD.
