Tipps neded for a good/cheap Monitor for the ECAM/ENG Panel with wide viewing angles
Hi,
currently i am using a 19" 16:10 Monitor in vertikal Position. I works fine and the domensions are very good to fix it behind the MIP.
But on the F/O site the view on it is very bad.
What kind of Display are you using?
Regards
Andy

Re: Tipps neded for a good/cheap Monitor for the ECAM/ENG Panel with wide viewing angles
Hi Andy,
If you mean while looking side on then turning the monitor 180 may help. Other than that you must seek out a monitor
that has a wide viewing angle. I have used IPS type monitors as these have an extremely wide viewing angle.
The monitor i used i found turning it 180 helped it a lot.
Regards
Les

Re: Tipps neded for a good/cheap Monitor for the ECAM/ENG Panel with wide viewing angles
Hi,
I had the same problem that I could hardly see something from the FO side. Recently my 19" 16:10 got damaged and I had to replace it. I found an used acer one on ebay with an view angle of 160-175 and this one ist much better now. Honestly not 100% perfect with a little color change from the side view but definitely not as strong as the old one. The name of the monitor is "Acer V193WLAObmd" and the price was around 25. I am very happy with it !
Best regards
Michael

I took now a 19“ 5:4 with pivot function, so in vertical position locked. Ist is a DELL 1907 fpv ore something like this. 25€ used.
viewing angle is 170deg on vertikal.
Demounting the case around the panel and fixed a glasplate on the Front like i did the pfd/nd.
