Re: Flight planning
Yes those two sites have always been a bit messy and hard to understand. Just
look at the personalities behind them and all will be explained ....
It is a pretty complex flight planner right from the route module. I bought a
dot matrix printer and fan fold paper to be able to print it as something
useable when flying FS. Once its concept is mastered its a breeze to use.
Tweaking !!!. I asked the same questions a couple of days back with a
friend. We are obsessed with it -- better scenery, settings, changing gauges and
their locations, accurate fuel tank quantities and locations etc etc etc
-- its a flight simmers disease I think !!!........
That 767 PIC V2 sounds a real winner.
cheers

RE: Flight planning
Flight-simming a disease? You can get patches and upgrades for that.
I watched a programme on one of the Discovery channels last night about
flight simmers with their own flight decks. I was just thinking, this is
silly enough for an Old Farts to appear and .....
.... next thing is Pete Dowson is on my TV screen!
I almost spilt my wine (Luckily I had good control of the glass
through many hours simulating touch and go's)

That programme was made over two years ago now, and the director *still*
hasn't sent me the tape he promised.
It was pretty naff in any case. He only really wanted to talk about my
original work on EPIC stuff, which dated back to FS5 and FS95. He didn't really
want to know about what I was doing then -- and I hadn't been using the EPIC
stuff for a couple of years even, when it was made!
The embarrassing part of the program is that guy in the inflatable pressure
suit. If I'd known he was going to be in it I don't think I'd have allowed
cameras into my house!
Best regards,
Pete

And if they knew that there are two guys coming over to fly on my pit quite
often who are so 'serious', that they come in wearing white shirts and glue
3 stripes (made of paper) into their shoulders...
