I am incorporating motor support into 4.0 as I type this.
I am shooting to release 4.0 in about two weeks from now.

I have made changes to code for PhidgetMotorLV
and in preperation for PhidgetStepper.
As soon as my PhidgetMotor crd arrives
I will test and make 4.0 available as a pre-release.
i.e. will support latest 3.x and 4.0
Target date of two weeks looks achievable.

For autothrottles you are better of using servos.
You will have to do a bit of work to position a DC motor accurately.

Excellent News. I much prefer the smoothness of dc motors over servos. Thanks for the update. Looking fwd to playing around with this one.
