Plans and the like
Owing to an irrevocable lack of drawing ability, I'm building a 3D mockup of my cockpit. Has anyone done likewise? I'm using Google Sketchup, which is a remarkable free app (there's a pro version available) that does just about everything I want, though there are a few unintuitive parts.
I'm learning as I go, but if anyone has any tips to share, I'd be happy to hear them

I did a full scale 2-D mockup of the MIP for my 727. After considering how many holes I had to cut and not being quite sure if they were positioned correctly, I just bought a real instrument panel instead.

I'm undecided on how I'm going to do my panel, to be honest. Tossing up whether to go for servo instruments or just a template over an LCD, it's still early days
How about the external structure? I found the measurements for a C172 and based my design around that (cosy, but not too cramped like a 152).
