Connecting the USB Xpansion card to MasterCard?
Ok guys, I just finished assembling my USB and MasterCard kits and I am ready to connect them to each other but I have a concern.
Can I simply connect it to each other directly or do I need to buy a parallel cable and connect them with it?
In other orders, can I just connect them by mating up the cards to each other via the male/female parallel jacks or do I need to use a parallel cable instead?

Re: Connecting the USB Xpansion card to MasterCard?
I bought mine already assembled. They sell a DB25 cable (male and female) to connect the USB Expansion card to a Master card. The Master card needs 5v power connection to drive the attached inputs and outputs. They also make an input and output card that seems to simplify the wiring of devices. I will know more soon as I am beginning to connect the switches and LED lights in my sim. Then on to SOIC script writing and testing. The USBConnect (??) program recognized the Expansion card when connected. The Master Card needed power before it was recognized.

Yes you can connect directly together, though to get a good connection you may have to remove the screwed posts. A full DB25 cable is best option.

Re: Connecting the USB Xpansion card to MasterCard?
Thanks guys! I went ahead and made a solid connection by matching them up directly without an cable. It make it look now like a bigger circuit board and gets the job done. Thanks again.
