    Simulator Video

This is a rather long video demonstrating the Air Attack training simulator I've been working on. When you get a few aircraft up over a fire dropping retardant it starts to get very realistic. I really need to get some footage when we have a Tanker flying online with this Birddog, only problem is I'm usually the one flying the Tanker...

    Very nice job!
Are you building this for Conair or Air Spray?

This is going to be used by the BC Forest Service. The Air Attack officer in the birddog aircraft is a BCFS employee. So were not actually training pilots, although a new birddog pilot might see some benefit from a few hours in the simulator.

    Hey Shawn !

    Very nice done !

What kind of aircraft is your sim simulating?
In first sight it looks like an Aero Commander....

What`s the name of the second song in your video?

I hope your sim helps new pilots in training and a lot of damn forrest fires
    get blown out

    Kind regards
    George

Thanks George, the sim is loosely based on the TC690 Turbo Commander. When I say loosely I mean we took a few measurments from the real aircraft and then tried to stay within a few inches We've been using a simulator for training new AAO's for a few years now so the benefits of sim training are well know to us. Having our own is just going to allow us to benefit from it on a more consistent basis. The second song is Poker Face by Lady Gaga.

Thanks Shawn for the quick reply!

I`m currently bulding a 737NG sim and as i saw your video i`m

really thinking about building a small 2 engine prop sim just
    for fun flying

I like your easy setup in the little shell and how you`ve done it!

I wish you and your mates all time happy flying and landings

    Kind regards
    George

Brings back memories when I use to do air patrols for the Kootenay Lake Forest District - "Patrol Seven North" in a Cessna 337.
