marker lights dont activate
Hi everyone,
I just installed my LED 64 board and installed both software programs.
My outer, middle, inner marker lights work fine when I enable them in the FS2PHIDGET program.I saved it and kept the program running in the task bar while FS2004 ran.The program recognized FS2004 with no problem,
When I made the approach using the Cessna the panel marker lights came on in FS2004 default panel, but my led 's did not activate in the cockpit.
I'm new to this Phidget thing..am I missing something here??I cant set any values or anything with the LED64.
Should I enable and save? These are the only items I have so far on this board.
Appreciate any ideas..
Kind regards
james

James,
You do have to enable component.
Do LEDs illuminate if you click "Invert" checkbox on or off ?
Will also try marker beacons with my LED64 set up.

Alan.

Thanks Alan,
That was my problem! It worked perfectly when I chose invert.
When I recieve my 8/8/8 board...and I choose a switch for digital in ,can I use an led on the LED64 to light when the switch is activated on the other 8/8/8 board?
I will have to assume I would of course choose the command on the LED64 also for the led as well the digital input.
Thanks
James

James,
You are correct.
For example,
Let's assign one of the digital inputs on the 8/8/8 to the Landing Gear Handle.
If you assigned LED (either on 8/8/8 or LED64) also to gear handle, the LED would illuminate when gear handle moves to either up or down position.

Thats perfect!
Is it possible to adjust the timing when the lights come on or off also?
Great product!

James,
For digital output that is assigned to Flight Sim variables that have a range you can specify a threshold when you want LED to extinguish or illuminate.
For example a landing wheel has a range of values between fully retracted and fully extended. You can specify where in the range you want LED to go off or on.
One simnaut has built a low fuel warning indicator by assigning LED to fuel quantity and setting appropriate thresholds.
Have a look at the on-line tutorial on how to go about doing that.
Alan.
