PC power supply to power Phidgets LED 64
Im getting to the point in my build where I need to start thinking of power distribution to things like Phidgets LED 64's, servo controllers and a small amount of lighting.
To begin with I have an extra PC power supply I want to use to power my LED 64's I have on order to reduce the amount of wall warts running around.
The LED 64 says it takes as 6-12 volt supply. No problem since the PSU has 12 volt available. Im guessing this would work??
Question is, getting the power to the board. The LED 64 comes with its own plug in power supply, so could I splice into the wiring to use the plug to go into the LED board?? If so how can I tell which wire goes to center and which is ground on the barrel plug??

Re: PC power supply to power Phidgets LED 64
Hi Scott,
The Ph LED 64 comes with an additional terminal on the board where you can screw two wires for Ground and V+ (printed on the board). If you prefer to use the main plug, center is + .
Regards.
