    BU 0836X card

I installed a BU0836X on to my FSX and using it via FSIUPC to control switches ,the problem I have is as I select engine start all works well except a strange noise is accompanied by this movement and after about 15min the sound disappears but also the system is partially disabled? Very confusing and I wonder if anyone had a similar experience with this type of card?

What type of switch are you using? Does it actually start the engine? What are your settings in FSUIPC?

I am using a standard rotary switch , in connection with the FSUIPC I connect it to engine autostart and connect fuelshutoff and the engine starts but the noise is there ,sounds like a coffee maker ? After about 15 min the noise stops but also some functions and the AP disconnects as well ?

How have you calibrated the switch in FSUIPC?

I am assuming that you have calibrated or set your switch through FSUIPC. In the Buttons and Switches Menu you set the switch and you can set it for on and off, to repeat when on or not to repeat when on. Depending on your settings this can have an effect on your starter switch. For example if you have it set to repeat when on, this may trigger some interference when when the actual starter automatically returns to Off and you rotary is still in the Gnd position.

I am not using on off I am using on only as I have no automatic cutoff installed ,however as soon as I set the switch to on the noise appears and as said cuts off after 10 min of flight? I am using a simple on -off function Eric

It's actually too bad Leo is not online to answer your question (solve your problem). He has a profile on here, but has not posted for sometime.
