Which kind of wires needed for wiring MIP

Hello,

i am building a MIP and have all the harware installed. Now i am starting to wire all switches, rotary and leds to pokey cards. I was wondering which type of wires should i use? I have a lot of cat 5 and telephone cable that i can strip for the colored wired but i do not know if this is going to work, they are metal color. Or should i use coper wires, but how thick should they be?

For switches it actually does not matter. For indications - depends on voltage, current consumtion and cable lengths. If you're not going to make your wires longer than 1 meter, I think, your wires will suit all your needs.

Thank you, this is all i want to know. It would be a wast of time when i had to rewire.
