    Engravity AFDS

Hi I am wiring my Engravity AFDS to the CP Flight MIP board and it appears that it needs an independent 12V supply for the Back light etc. is this correct as I thought the MIP board supplied the power?? Also my captains six pack came with colour coded wires which was great as there are 9! however the co-pilot six pack wires are all the same colour!! how do I find out what goes where??

    Re: Engravity AFDS

The AFDS does require a seperate 12v supply,
"the output of the MIPboard is only around 2 volts and only used to trigger the mini solid state relays on the afds to switch on the leds of the afds switches,so: it needs its own 12 volts power supply."
A response from engravity support when i asked the same question.

Not sure on the co-pilot six pack as i only have the captains side, and as you say they
are colour coded, perhaps email stef at engravity or maybe sean will be on to advise soon.

    Regards

    Steve

    Re: Engravity AFDS

Thanks Steve I have wired in a 12volt supply and its all working fine! As for the six pack I called Sean Nixon and he recomended assuming the wires were colour coded as the captains side so I wired them like that and all worked great!

    Cheers
