To my Dutch friends, I want to share with you. I know on Oudjaar it's customarily to have Oliebollen, Appelflappen (I remember calling it something else, can't think of it).

My wife and I make our Oliebollen and Appelflappen on Nieuwjaarsdag. Still an old recipe handed down from my grandmother.

Advocaat was one of the drinks and don't remember the name of the drink with raisins in it, that was customary on Oudjar. Perhaps you can help me remember?

Happy new year to all MC members!
Time to review the past year. This is my view:
Over the years, this site has become much more than a mere forum about home cockpit building. The people forming this community - and also those standing behind this organisation - are people, who undertake continuous efforts to keep this site at a very high level of quality, technically and also with reference to the contents of these pages. These people merge their expertise in the various fields of our hobby right here with passion. At the same time, there is not a single question that is too stupid to ask. Help is always just around the corner and given with respect to each other. The etiquette of this forum is by far superior to so many others. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to all those contributing to this highly specialised hobby forum and especially the staff making all this possible. Wish you all the best for 2011!
