    Just silt and mud which has dried from the water of the Hudson River most likely!

    come on , if you had the chance to get the whole deal for free would you refuse ?? HAHA my simulator cost probably less than the price of a one knob !

    Yep would be fantastic! Historic peice. If someone who was on the aircraft through the emergency bought it as a 'trophy' that would be amazing. After all that plane and its captain saved many lives.
