Live from CES 2008
Does Samsung have the answer for multi display ?
Samsung will release its 2263DX Monitor, a 22-inch flat-panel USB-connected LCD display that leverages the company’s proprietary UbiSync technology to allow multiple screens to connect via USB, rather than VGA— all without the need for a graphics card or any special video hardware. Each 2263DX comes with a built-in second monitor designed to enhance productivity, and features an onboard video card and embedded software driver for installation on any Windows XP PC. Users can add up to six 2263DX monitors on one PC, providing up to 114 inches of desktop space and the ability to have multiple windows open across multiple displays. The 2263DX also features a height-adjustable stand, lets users view documents in portrait and landscape mode, and offers traditional VGA (15-pin D-sub) and DVI connections. The 2263DX is expected to ship in January. $549.

Interesting... wonder what kind of performance you get out of those connected to USB. Then, also, will there be USB projectors????

I'm sure the performance will be plenty good to run some 2d graphics gauges and a web browser. Samsung makes great monitors so I am sure these will be on par with any other monitor out there.

Alienware's "Curve" display
While currently just a prototype, a new DLP display with OLED illumination from Alienware is something we may actually see for sale as soon as the second half of 2008. The 2880 x 900 resolution is said to mimic peripheral vision and has a response time of less than .02-miliseconds.
Equals 2 - 24 " displays well over three feet wide !
