Have recently purchased 2 of the above, in the mistaken belief that they could be used as a pseudo potentiometer.

I have had no luck trying to use them with the BBI-32 card, for use as an Auto brake switch and Engine starters, but have had a thought about reconfiguring them.

Reading about Ian Sissons Laddering Resistors, and making a Rotary Switch behave as a Potentiometer, do you think it would be possible to add another wire to the BBI-12 , there by making it 5vdc,Wiper and Gnd. If this is possible, I could then connect it to my BU0836X card, and use the Axis in FSUIPC to get my up and down sequence. If it is possible, where exactly would the 3rd wire go on the PCB?.
