CPFlight RS 232 to USB
Hi fellow builders.
Just a quick one this time...
Is it possible to connect a RS 232 CPflight MCP, EFIS; NAV, etc via adaptor cable to a USB2 port?
Will it work with normal drivers...

Re: CPFlight RS 232 to USB
Sure does, but make sure you use one with the FTDI chipset, the prolific ones are pants.

FT232R (3rd one down on that page) is the very one i use, no problems at all- - - - - - - - - - - -

Re: CPFlight RS 232 to USB
Hi Philip,
I will try one.
Prolific isn 't that bad but they don 't support end users while many companies who are selling devices with that chip don 't update their drivers. I won 't mention any brand
