3d printing parts

Hey i always wanted to build a Sim however never really had the room for such a project. However I have been thinking that I want to still make something. So I did get a brand new 3d printer and am wondering if anybody wants me to make and print any kind of part for your Sim I love a challenge and can charge a pretty inexpensive price for sim parts if your interested pm me thx and god speed

yes, same here. I have been printing some throttle handles, flaps, and speed brake handles.... they are awesome! 3d printing is great!

What is the process you go through to finish the products as I'm aware some finishes require some degree of sanding down smooth.

finishing can be sanding, and/or acetone vapor bath. So far I have found that the texture of the parts is very nice after printing. For a smoother, glossy appearance the acetone vapor bath works very well, just go slowly. My A320 throttle and flaps handles came out AWESOME!

Don't forget how useful 3D printing can be for parts that are under the hood. Gears, brackets, etc. All good opportunities for 3D printed parts. The bezels and gunsight mount are all 3D printed: If you print at a 100 micron layer height, you really don't need to do any vapor bath or sanding if you don't want to. g.

is it possible to send me the files that you used for the parts u printed? how did you digitize them to have them Accurately printed?

They're from scratch designs and I'm not planning on releasing the models. Also, I didn't "have" them printed, I printed them myself.

I am in the process of finding a way of getting gears made for a three needles altimeter. What would be the advantages of getting them 3d printed vs say laser cut?


And are the two guys that posted printing offers still reading this thread?
