Motion platform acceleration calculation & test info
Hi all,
I did some calculations and verification tests on my new motion platform on motor torque, force, speed and accelerations. Not sure whether everything is correct, but I got some results anyhow that seem not too far off. Could be helpful for motor selection, platform load distribution and gearing. You can read about it at http://www.simprojects.nl/platform_d...lculations.htm

Calculations
Hi Roland ... Brilliant ... It took a bit of getting my head around it all.. I'm a "throw it together" sort of builder but what you presented makes real good sence.
All my stuffs in a million bits at the moment but when I get the drive units together, I'll try your formulars etc on my gear.
You have put forward a real good benchmark and the system to check it... Well done.
With all the updates on your great website ... how do you find time to build your sim !!!!
Cheers .. Jim NZ
