Question Remote Desktop to control Project Magenta Software?

Can a Remote Desktop application be used to control the computers in the cockpt. I really do not want multiple keyboards, mice, etc. to turn on and launch every application in the cockpit. Any suggestions?

I use a program Called VNC... there is a free version... that's what I use. Most of my computers do not have a keyboard, through VNC I can control any computer from another computer.

    Here is the link. http://realvnc.com/

    Matt,

You have a nice website and interesting set-up. I work in the High End Custom Integration industry and have access to projectors. My goal was to purchase a segmented screen from Stewart and use 3 Sony VPLVW50 (1920x1080p) projectors. Curious to know where you obtained the Screen frame and Mirror?

I noticed you live in Illinois? I am in the Chicagoland area.

Actually not living in IL right now... long story But, my Sim is in storage there...

Anyway, to answer your question... The frame is custom made by local shop. Very pleased with the frame. The mirror came from a rear projection TV.... got it at a local TV repair shop.

The plan is... find a large enough bldg to put my Sim in and not use mirrors.

The above link will take you directly to the Simulation page. If you download the brochure you will notice the 3 segmented screens. I am going to order this screen with these 3 - 1080p projectors. 2007 is going to be a nice year!!!

    Hi apopilot,

not quite sure I catch what you are after, but I have 4 PCs and use just 1 keyboard and mouse to controll all of them. There´s a very nice little program out called "synergy".
Go here to download it: http://synergy2.sourceforge.net/

    It´s absolutely great.

    Hope this helps.

    Best rgds

    Peter
